Crisp nori is very important when making rice balls and hand-rolled sushi which are eaten immediately after being wrapped with nori. To ensure crispness, we dry nori which is cut one-third shorter than that of other producers. The thickness of our nori is also, we believe, the most suitable for these purposes. For dishes such as sushi rolls which are often eaten a while after being made, Ariake Nori is ideal as it doesn’t get sticky or tough and remains easy to eat in a bite.
